To add a header or footer to a PDF, select the file, type the header text, the footer text or both, choose left, centre or right alignment and click Add header and footer. Use {page}, {pages} and {date} in the text to insert the page number, total pages and today's date.

What headers and footers are for
A header or footer repeats key information on every page: the document title, company name, version, confidentiality notice or date. It keeps printed pages identifiable if they get separated, and makes reviews easier when people refer to “page 7 of the draft from 12 May”.
The header sits near the top edge and the footer near the bottom edge. Existing content in those margins may overlap with the new text.

How do I add a footer to every page of a PDF?
Select the PDF, type the text in the Footer box and click Add header and footer. It is added to every page.
Can I include page numbers in the footer?
Yes. Type {page} for the current page and {pages} for the total, for example “Page {page} of {pages}”.
Can I add the date?
Yes. {date} is replaced with today's date in YYYY-MM-DD format.
