About WebP files
WebP is an image format made by Google to make web pages load faster. Most images you save from Chrome, Edge or a website today arrive as .webp files, and many upload forms, print shops and older apps still won't accept them. A PDF opens everywhere and keeps several images together as one file.
What happens to your images
Type of WebP | How it is stored in the PDF |
|---|---|
Lossy WebP (most photos) | High-quality JPEG, so the PDF stays small and opens in every reader |
Lossless WebP | Lossless, pixel for pixel |
WebP with transparency | Lossless, placed on a white page |
Animated WebP | The first frame only |
Convert WebP to PDF without a website
On Windows, open the WebP file in Chrome or Edge, press Ctrl+P and choose Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer. On a Mac, open it in Preview and choose File, then Export as PDF. On an iPhone, open the image, tap Share, then Print, and use Share again in the print preview to save it as a PDF. These work for one image at a time; PDFVerge combines many images into one PDF in a single step.
Limits
- Up to 100 megapixels per image.
- No fixed limit on the number of images; very large batches depend on your device's memory.
- Animated WebP files are converted as a still image (the first frame).
Have JPG or PNG files as well? JPG to PDF and PNG to PDF accept WebP too. If the finished PDF is too large to email, compress it.

WebP to PDF questions
How do I convert a WebP image to PDF?
Select the WebP image, choose a page size and click Build PDF, then download the PDF. It takes a few seconds and needs no signup.
Can I combine several WebP files into one PDF?
Yes. Add as many WebP images as you like, put them in order with the arrows, and each one becomes a page of the same PDF.
Does converting WebP to PDF reduce quality?
Lossless and transparent WebP images are kept exactly. Ordinary WebP photos, which are already compressed, are stored as high-quality JPEG; the difference is not visible in normal viewing or printing.
What happens to a transparent background?
Transparent areas become white, the same as the page, so logos and graphics look the way they do on a website.
How do I convert WebP to PDF on iPhone or Android?
Open this page in Safari or Chrome on your phone, tap Select WebP images and pick them from your photos or files. The PDF downloads to your Files app or Downloads folder.
Is WebP to PDF free?
Yes. There is no signup, no limit on how often you use it and no watermark on your PDF.
