We cannot see your documents, because they never reach us.

The short version
We do not receive your documents. The tools on this site run as JavaScript inside your browser; your file is read from your own disk into your own device's memory, changed there, and written back to your downloads folder. It is not transmitted to us, because there is no upload step to transmit it through.
This means we cannot show you your files, cannot recover a file you lost, and cannot hand your documents to anyone who asks — including a court. We do not have them.
What we do collect
Loading any web page necessarily reveals some information. When you visit PDFVerge:
- Our web server records standard request logs: IP address, time, the page requested, browser user agent. These are kept for security and troubleshooting.
- The tool pages load code libraries from a public CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). That request goes to Cloudflare, not to us, and carries no part of your document.
- We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views. Analytics never receive file names or file contents.
Cookies
The tools themselves set no cookies and need none. If advertising or analytics is added in future, this page will be updated to say exactly what is set and why, before it goes live.
How to verify all of this
Do not take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use any tool on this site. You will see the page and its libraries load. You will not see your document go anywhere, because it does not.
