When to split a PDF
Splitting is how you send only the part of a document that matters: one chapter of a report, the signed page of a contract, a single statement from a year of bank statements. It also gets a large file under an upload limit by breaking it into smaller parts.
If you want to keep most of a document and drop a few pages, Delete Pages is usually quicker than splitting.
Page numbers refer to the position of the page in the file, starting at 1, not to any numbers printed on the pages.

Choose “Pull out selected pages as one PDF”, type the pages you want such as 1-3, 7 and click Split PDF. You get a new PDF containing only those pages.
How do I split a PDF into separate pages?
Choose “One PDF per page”. You get a ZIP file with each page saved as its own PDF.
Can I split a PDF into several parts at once?
Yes. Choose “Split into ranges” and type ranges separated by commas, such as 1-10, 11-20, 21-30. Each range becomes its own PDF in the ZIP.
Does splitting change the quality?
No. Pages are copied without being converted or compressed.
How do I open the ZIP file?
Windows, macOS, iPhone and Android all open ZIP files natively. Double-click or tap it to see the PDFs inside.
